I got this Official Postcrossing card from Massachusetts! This is a postcard showing a resident of the Reptile Lagoon at South of the Border, a roadside attraction on a highway just south of the border between North Carolina and South Carolina. I just said “south” three times in one sentence, it sounds so repetitive XD Anyway, this Mexico-themed pit stop has a motor inn, shops, restaurants, an amusement park, a bunch of cool and colorful statues, and – one of the most recent additions – the Reptile Lagoon! This exhibit houses what you might expect: turtles, alligators, crocodiles, and snakes like the one you see here! The Reptile Lagoon has an especially large array of crocodile species, with 15 different types taking up residence there. As a kid, I always somewhat gravitated to the reptile exhibits as zoos, and even now I would totally still dig that kind of stuff. Between this, delicious American-Mexican cuisine and the video arcade they have here, I have plenty of reasons to visit South of the Border and my next trip down to Myrtle Beach (whenever that might be). Thank you so much for sending me this rad card!
