Sharing a postcard from Poland! This card features Grębocin, a village close to Toruń in Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. I did a page search for all the times I mentioned Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship (it only just now sounded familiar haha), and I realize I’ve touched on a large number of towns here!: Toruń, Koronowo, Wąbrzeźno, Bydgoszcz, Golub-Dobrzyń, and now Grębocin! What’s illustrated in the card is the Museum of Literature and Printing, a museum founded in 2004 from a 13th century church originally dedicated to St. Barbara. This museum features exhibits showcasing a history of printing technology in Poland, and workshops for both children and adults to experience using such technology. They teach you how to do calligraphy and use a printing press, and even go as far as to teach visitors how to create paper! There’s also a small art gallery and a gift shop offering a large assortment of handmade trinkets. This seems to be the most popular tourist attraction in an otherwise small village, and understandably so! Now if you could make your own postcards from scratch here… I would book my ticket to Poland tomorrow! Thank you so much for sending me another lovely postcard, Magdalena!
