I received this wonderful postcard from Malaysia! This is from the same sender who sent me the card of Suzu from Nagasarete Airantou – today, we feature Nao Yoshikawa, from a manga by Yue Takasuka called “Good Morning Call”. Interestingly, this is one of the few manga I’ve even come to know that has not yet been adapted into anime, but rather a live-action series! This is about the protagonist, Nao, who rents an apartment in Tokyo as her parents move away to the country. One of her classmates, the good-looking Hisashi Uehara, is also renting an apartment… and it turns out, they’ve both been leased out the same room! It’s the conundrum of the century – does one sacrifice their personal space for an attractive roommate? Unfortunately there’s not much room for choice as they have to agree to share the room due to being low on money. The series revolves around their adventures while keeping the fact that they share a room under wraps. After all, that’s the stereotypical high school scandal right there! I’ve more recently been getting into manga series, but I have to say I’ve never taken the time to watch a J-drama series for, so something like that might be a breath of fresh air! Thank you so much for choosing this lovely postcard for me, Jane!
